Conversation & active listening

A relaxed chat, sharing memories, discussing a favorite subject, or simply having someone who is interested in the whole story. The senior chooses what they would like to share.

Books, music & shared hobbies

Reading aloud, discussing a book, listening to favorite songs, playing cards, working on a puzzle, or enjoying a simple creative project. Activities follow the person’s preferences and comfort.

Everyday social technology

Patient help with a family video call or looking through shared photographs. The focus is connection, without handling passwords, financial accounts, or private decisions.

Thoughtful family communication

Discuss how family members may be kept informed, with the older adult’s consent. Agree on boundaries and preferences before any service begins.

What our service is being designed for

Joy Visits is intended for adults age 60 and older who would welcome social connection and can safely participate without hands-on care or continuous supervision. An inquiry helps start a conversation about fit; it is not a care assessment or a promise that the service will be suitable.

Clear boundaries matter.

Our proposed service does not include nursing, mental-health therapy, medication administration, personal care, bathing, toileting, lifting, transfers, money management, driving clients, or continuous safety supervision. If those are needed, an appropriate provider should be arranged separately.

Availability and pricing

We are preparing our launch across North Orange County and nearby western Orange County communities. The regular rate is $75 per hour; the discounted rate is $40 per hour with a two-hour minimum ($80 per visit). Screening procedures, availability, and operating requirements are being finalized. No booking is confirmed and no payment is collected through this website.

Tell us the city, activities, and frequency you have in mind. Before any service begins, the arrangements and total cost must be confirmed in writing.

At the discounted rate, a three-hour visit is $120 and a four-hour visit is $160.
