What details should I share about the senior?
Share their preferred name, age (60+), interests, hobbies, and any language or visit preferences. You can also tell us topics or activities to avoid. These details help us prepare a more personal visit. Please have permission to share another person’s details and leave out medical records, passwords, and financial information.
Who is eligible for Joy Visits?
Joy Visits is for adults age 60 and older. You may inquire for yourself or on behalf of someone age 60+. The age requirement applies to the person receiving visits, not the family member or other person making the inquiry. Suitability and availability must also be confirmed before service begins.
What is senior companionship?
Senior companionship is nonmedical social support: conversation, shared hobbies, reading, games, and spending enjoyable time together. Joy Visits is being developed around this social role.
Is Joy Visits a nursing or personal-care service?
Our proposed service is companionship. It does not include nursing, therapy, medication administration, bathing, toileting, lifting, or continuous safety supervision. Service scope and applicable requirements will be confirmed before launch.
Which cities are you planning to serve?
Our planned service area includes Anaheim, Brea, Buena Park, Cypress, Fountain Valley, Fullerton, Garden Grove, Huntington Beach, La Habra, La Palma, Los Alamitos, Orange, Placentia, Seal Beach, Stanton, Villa Park, Westminster, Yorba Linda. We also welcome inquiries from nearby communities. Submit your city and preferred schedule; availability is confirmed before any visit.
Can I inquire for myself or for a parent?
Either is welcome. If you are inquiring for someone else, involve them in the decision. Their interests, comfort, preferences, and consent guide the conversation.
What will visits cost?
Our regular rate is $75 per hour; our discounted rate is $40 per hour with a two-hour minimum, making the minimum visit $80. A three-hour visit is $120 and a four-hour visit is $160. Availability and arrangements must be confirmed before visits begin. Submitting an inquiry does not create a booking or payment obligation.
Can you help someone with dementia or significant care needs?
A companionship visit is not a substitute for specialized care or supervision. If someone requires memory care, personal care, clinical treatment, or help staying safe alone, discuss an appropriate licensed provider. We cannot promise suitability through the interest form.
Can families receive updates?
Family communication can be discussed with the senior’s consent. The details and frequency would be agreed before service begins; a visit update is not a clinical assessment.
